A Good Lesson

Yesterday Anna-Christina saw this little junco (as I was told by my dad) hit our window. She went out to look for it and see if it was laying on the ground, and there it sat, right on the ledge! It sat there for about an hour, and we all sat on the couch watching it for a long time. I suppose it was just recovering from it's shock and getting the strength back up to fly away. When we were talking about it, I was reminded of the verse in Matthew 10:29
"Are not two sparrows sold for one penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
Wow! How many times have I read that verse? But yesterday when I was looking at this little bird, and thinking that God noticed when it hit our window, and that He cares about it, it really meant a lot to me to think that I am (we are) worth even more to our Father. He notices me!
