Wow, a lot of water has gone under the bridge (as they say) since I last wrote. Life continues to be busy, with the upcoming wedding and all. Mom and Dad got here last night, and now it feels like "for real" that this is all happening.
AC started school, as I mentioned. She is doing well, for the most part. She has had 2 mornings where she cried and didn't want to go, but I think that was mostly due to being tired. At the end of the day she has had a blast, and is excited about the new friends she is making. She has music and gym every day, and they are studying Creation right now. She says she doesn't like gym because "there's too much running". Hmmm.
The other day I was trying to explain in simple terms the shootings that happened in Montreal recently, since she overheard us talking about it. When I said that one person died at the school, she - apparently trying to find the good in every situation - said, "Well, I guess there's an extra desk now". We got a good laugh out of that one.
O is thoroughly enjoying the one-on-one we have on school days. We are working through a preschool book and she just seems so big all of a sudden. She does very well at playing by herself, and she's so easy to take places when there's no big sister to fight with!
A is pulling herself up in her crib now, and on furniture too! Crazy turkey. I couldn't believe when I went into her room and she's standing up, grinning from ear to ear. She thinks she's pretty big stuff and it's pretty cute. She's trying to crawl, but not wholeheartedly. It will be soon though, I think. No teeth yet.
Tomorrow night another sister and family will arrive, and then the rest of the family on Friday. Then we are headed up to a lodge for a quiet weekend with no cooking, no cleaning and no work. Just down time with family! YES!!!
I will post pictures soon of Daryl's latest hobby. :-)

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great weekend with your family.
Yeah Happy Birthday little lady! I did think of you a few times today! Hope you had a good one. I won't post my favorite memory of you, but I'm pretty sure you know what it is! = )
Rachel, you're a terd. But props to you for not posting your memory. Yes, I know what it is.
;-) I'm laughing out loud! :)
Are you sure that weekend with the family will be quiet?! I'll bet not. Daryl's latest hobby...come on Robyn, we see enough pictures of you already! =) hahaha Just kidding. I must admit that I thought of your birthday the day before your birthday but not the day of...since then I was busy thinking about it being Graham's birthday. Somehow I don't feel the same about you turning a year older as I do my own baby. =) Hope it was a good one.
Belated but heartfelt birthday greetings and blessings to you, dear Robyn!
Thinking and praying much about you these days as you engage upon the hustle and bustle of the next few days and the wedding coming up real soon. In our hearts we long to be there and share in the the excitement and connection with your family and dear friends.
Hope you have a great time kicking back for a few days prior to the intense days before the wedding.
Our love and best wishes to all!!
hi Robyn, are you still out there? How's life?
Hey woman! Do you still blog or what? I don't want to be demanding, but really, this is unacceptable! Tee hee - just teasing you. I know life gets crazy and you've had lots going on. It would be lovely to see you when I'm home, but I'm guessing it won't work. You're not planning a trip to Red Lake anytime soon are you? Remember, you do have a DVD player in your van.... = )
