Back By Popular Demand (...or something!)

Yes, I'm still alive. I had a very busy weekend (that seems like so long ago already). Rather last minute, Val and I decided to shock the socks off of Jenn and surprise her by going to visit her on her 30th birthday! Actually, we got there the day after and boy was she surprised. It was great. Daryl had the weekend off and kept all 3 kids! What a treat for me. I felt like I almost didn't know how to function without kids. But I quickly figured it out! The girls had a great time with their daddy.

Monday I had already made plans to have tea with a friend, so that's what we spent our day doing. She made us delicious Indian food for lunch (thanks, Neelam! :-)
I tried to copy it last night and she even gave me the right spices. It turned out tasty, but not as good as hers!

And yesterday was the big day. Olivia got her tooth pulled! She was a brave little soldier. When she was laying on the chair, I could see her stomach heaving in and out from nerves (I mean just breathing hard) . But she didn't make a peep and let them do the freezing no problem. Later she told me the tiny little thing they put in hurt a little (it was a HUGE needle). The rest of the time she was watching TV on the ceiling and that helped a lot. She said it didn't hurt at all. I got to hold her hand during the whole thing and I think I was just as glad for that as she was! Anyway, so now that's taken care of and we just have to pray the top ones go back into place and heal properly so they don't have to get pulled or absess. She is doing really well with not biting anything with them. 2 more weeks to go!
