It's been a fun week +.
Daryl's sister Jennifer and her kids were here from Sunday - Thursday. Then on Thursday Mom S. came and stayed until Sunday morning. We had a great time! It's so much fun to see the kids reconnecting with cousins and to have good chats with in laws. I know many people complain about their in laws, but I love mine! :-)
One of the highlights of our week (I know I mentioned this...) was going as moms and daughters, to see the Sound of Music. All I can say is "WOW". It was awesome. The girls had a blast hearing the songs they knew, etc. and the production was amazing. I think my absolute favourite parts were any time the "sisters" sang together. Beautiful. I can't say I didn't get choked up a time or two. And thanks to going to see the live production, my kids are now singing the songs at least 50 times a day instead of 20.
Now we're in Red Lake! My mom and dad came through on their way home from out west, and we all piled in the van to come "home" for one last summer get-away before school starts. Daryl will join us on Friday and stay for the weekend. I hope to eat a lot of walleye this week. :-)
Well, here I sit in the hall in my parents' upstairs. I've been waiting for all 3 girls to fall asleep. The 2 oldest were goofing off and all that goes with that, and Adrienne was crying every time I walked away. It has settled down now after almost 2 hours, so I think it's safe to go downstairs!
Good night.

The Sound of Music sounds great! (I heard about it from another blogging friend, too, who also got choked up at times.)
Have fun in RL. Miss you!
Wow it seems like EVERYONE is ending up in RL these days! It was SO good to have your folks house to unwind in for a few days! Steph
Hey - I think I remember a similar situation last summer - you trying to put the girls to bed at your parents and us laughing till we cried - not about the girls not sleeping... I wish I was there!
i thought of that story on my blog b/c jose put that link on their blog about the girl who was going to ride her bike from FL to OH to escape the hurricane. also, i just love a-c's story!
I think that your family would be a lovely addition to our Blue Lake trip next year! ;-)
