Things I Heard Recently

1) I was showing the girls some pictures we had received by email of a friend's new house. When we saw the picture of the beautiful new kitchen, Anna-Christina said very seriously, "Wow! Quality."

2) Olivia is laying in bed right now. She often finds very small excuses to get up and walk around, visit her sisters in the next room, etc. Tonight she said to me, "Mom, I don't know what this is. But something inside of me is telling me to get up, but I don't know why or what it is that is telling me." Must be confusing...

3) Adrienne is quite obsessed with the periwinkle shells she collected on the beach a few weeks ago. The other day I asked her, "So, what are you going to do now?" and she said, "I'm just going to go stare at my periwinkles". Today she looked at me very lovingly and said, "You're my favourite periwinkle".

4) As for child #4, well, she doesn't say too much. But she did say the short sound "a" for apple today... it's a nice change from screaming! :-)

Thanks for sharing. I love hearing what your kids say. Where do they learn this stuff? :) I'd love to get A and Isaiah together!

Hope you have a wonderful day as a favourite periwinlkle. How precious.

My word verification is coldshie. Ask your girls the definition of that one. Maybe a type of slushie? Or maybe it's what you are when you eat a slushie? At any rate it's what I am right now so I'm off to put on the warmest pj's I can find and snuggle under my quilt. My hubby has his nose buried in a seed catalogue....he has garden on the brain now that it's a balmy 5* around here.

I don't know which one of these is the funniest. I enjoyed reading about each of them and can just picture it! Is periwinkle just the color of the shells or a type?
