Setting a Record

Two posts in one day! Not bad, eh?

- A couple of you asked where to get the pattern for the hat. I got it given to me at the shop where I bought my wool. It's not copywritten or anything so I would be happy to post or email it to whomever wants it. Or you can put your order in and I'll make you one :-)

- It's so humid here that my laundry (whites!) didn't dry in the 5 hours it was hanging outside.

- On Saturday Anna-Christina and Olivia brought Daryl and I breakfast in bed. It was so cute. It consisted of coffee (which was good, since AC knows how to make it...the only problem was that it was poured long before it made it to our bedroom), warmish, microwaved oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar (no milk), and toast with peanut butter and dripping with honey. It was SO sweet. If it seems like I'm complaining about it, I'm not. The tepid coffee, cold oats and dripping honey just made it more cute than it already was. Good memories. I'm hoping they don't try this too often though. :-)

- We're already buying school supplies... the girls are counting the days. We've decided to send them to public school. It was a big decision for us, but we feel good about it. The girls have made friends with so many kids in our neighborhood that they didn't want to "miss out" on school. So we'll try it. I'm not ready to say whether I'm a homeschooler, public schooler, or private schooler. So far I can see pros and cons about all of them.

- Daryl has purchased (good old Value Village) the parts we needed to make an old record player work. He set it up in our hall upstairs and now the girls are really into listening to the records he had when he was a kid.

I'd love the pattern for the hat, however, I don't know how to knit. :( I really want to get back into crocheting (sp?), but need a good teacher. I was mostly curious as to what the world "felting" ment.

The breakfast sounds, well, lovely. :)

Thankfully, it's the thought that counts, right? = P That's so cute. I was thinking about it when I was getting my own breakfast this morning, for some reason. = P
