So yeah, I'm still here. Just busy, I guess. My evenings are taken up entirely by holding a screaming baby. Daryl thinks Emilie may have true colic (by medical definition). She really screams until she's almost blue in the face and seems to be in great pain for about an hour, on and off (every evening). Anyway, by the time she's happy and fed and changed and sleeping, so am I! Thus the lack of blogging, I guess.
Thankfully babies aren't supposed to be as colicky after 3 months of age, which is coming up real soon.
Other than that, I've been doing the norm...Keeping kids happy and fed and this past week attending the Christmas concerts of Anna-Christina and Olivia. They did so well singing and taking part in the poems, etc. Anna-Christina got to play the triangle along with the kids that were playing Orff instruments and it sounded really good.
We are looking forward to a quiet Christmas here. If we had our way, we'd be with family, but it's not so this year. Daryl works the day before and the days after so it's kind of impossible to travel right over Christmas day. We will meet up with his family between Christmas and New Years. Should be fun. I'm looking forward to starting some of our own traditions, even though I'm not sure what all that includes yet.
I guess Adrienne is the only one I haven't mentioned. She's doing well - turning into very much of a 2 yr old. She's so much fun right now. When I hung up our stockings she said, "Boots!"
I will try to post pictures soon. It seems like every time I sit down to blog someone needs something and I don't get anywhere! Keep watching. Hopefully I won't be so long between posts next time.

Even though I pretty well knew all of this, it's still fun to check and read an update. I'll be patient for pics, now! Love you.
Nice to hear from you. I hope Emilie gets over this screaming part soon.
Thank you for the card and picture. What a lovely family picture. The boys were surprised how big Olivia looks. She really does look big in it. If you didn't know who was older you might guess it was her.
I didn't quite get to Christmas cards this year..... again. I might still get around to New Year cards. We'll see.
very good to hear from you. i feel so bad for both you and emilie. :( hope it passes soon.
we're all sunburnt and tired, plus a few of us have colds, but we're still having a great time. i'll try to update soon! :)
I got so tired of the word "colic" when Isaiah was a baby. I thought that was just a word old ladies used. He was 6 weeks old his first Christmas. My whole family was here. I remember one evening Mom, Jeremy and I taking turns staying in the nursery with Isaiah because he was so fussy. Sometimes it seemed like he drank more gas drops and gripe water than milk! We tried everything, but I still don't know what the problem was. The good news is that it does get better! I will try to remember to pray for you this evening.
P.S. This will be the first year that my family is not together for Christmas. If I think about it too long I can get really sad, but I'm trying to look at the up side and that is that we have our own little family to celebrate with! I'll be thinking of you.
