Thanks everyone for your anniversary wishes.
I am truly, truly blessed to have the husband I do. He is my best friend and the love of my life!We had a great day yesterday, even though he was working. I think this year it really hit us how long we've been married and how much things have changed in the past 8 years. I'm so glad I look back without regrets (at least without major ones!), and that I've never been sorry that I married him (well, maybe for a couple minutes, but it passes :-) Of course things have not always been easy. Med school and residency has probably taken more of a toll on us than we even realize, not to mention all the other "normal" things that can come into a marriage. But God is faithful and it is so wonderful to look back and see the ways that He has been faithful to us. He has truly blessed us. I can honestly say that I am more in love with my husband now than I was on the day I married him!
So to celebrate, we went out for dinner for some great Thai food. We took our time and relaxed, and then decided to go shopping at Sal. Army! :-) We made another stop and headed home (yeah, we're getting old...). I had made pavlova so we wanted to come home and enjoy it before we got too tired out from our wild night on the town (we like to live on the edge). We ended the evening by looking at pictures from our honeymoon.
It was a good day!

Happy 8th Anniversary to both of you. I'm glad that you got a nice evening together. I guess that means it's less than a week to our anniversary! Isn't it hard to believe it's been eight years in some ways, yet in other ways it seems like even longer? Really.... a lot can happen in eight years!
Well, here's to wishing you decades more of happy married life!
